How Foodform® Nutrients Are Made
Foodform® Vitamins and Minerals are produced by proprietary processes.
Foodform® Minerals and Foodform® Vitamin D are produced by feeding minerals to live yeast organisms or live lactobacillus cultures (the kind of nutritional yeast which is used to make bread or the kind of lactobacillus cultures which are used to make yogurt).
This is the same process performed by all plants where they take up minerals from the soil through their roots. Once the minerals enter the plant cells they become part of the living structure and are turned into food. It is only in this form that minerals can be effectively absorbed and utilized in our bodies.
Foodform® Vitamins are produced by taking USP vitamins in liquid form and then weaving them together on a molecular level with the appropriate protein components.
Then they are integrated into a vegetable, fruit or yeast concentrate that has a natural relationship with that vitamin. For example: Foodform® B Vitamins are in yeast concentrate, Foodform® Vitamin C is in citrus concentrate, Foodform® Vitamin A is in carrot concentrate, etc.
The reason Foodform® nutrients work is because they operate at the cellular level.
Foodform® Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide)
Foodform® Niacinamide is complexed in yeast concentrate for maximum absorption, retention and utilization. Animal study results on Foodform® Niacinamide vs. ordinary USP† Niacinamide show that it is 3.94 times more absorbed into the blood than USP, and 1.7 times more retained in the liver than USP.*
(†USP stands for United States Pharmacopoeia. This is what is commonly sold in most health food stores and pharmacies. You will see USP on most of the containers of the vitamins and minerals you buy today.)
Foodform® Vitamin D3
In our body, vitamin D only works when it is in the active, hormonal form. Our body must convert it to the hormonal form. This occurs in two steps: first in the liver and then in the adrenal glands. As we age, and due to environmental and lifestyle issues, our body's ability to convert vitamin D to the active hormonal form declines.
Other supplements may be labeled as "natural" but they contain isolated chemical vitamin D (cholecalciferol) which is not the active form.
Foodform® Vitamin D has been fed to live baker's yeast cells. It is a whole food. The bakers yeast cells convert part of it to the active, hormonal form, ready for our body to use. The presence of the active, hormonal form of vitamin D in Foodform® Vitamin D was confirmed by a study on Foodform® Vitamin D by the Linus Pauling Institute of Science and Medicine.
