NO CHEMICALS JUST REAL FOOD NUTRIENTS!
The Problem With Most Vitamin C Supplements
You may come across vitamins and minerals that are labeled "food based". This is where USP vitamins and minerals have been mixed into a base of alfalfa or soy or some other food.
Mixing with food is done to try to increase the absorption of USP vitamins and minerals into the body. That is why you often see “take with food” on their labels.
For example, the more ascorbic acid you take the less your body absorbs. An intake of less than 20 mg has a 98% absorption rate.
When you increase your intake to 1,000 to 1,500 mg, the absorption rate drops to 50%.
And if you are taking 12 or more grams, the absorption of ascorbic acid drops to only 16%.
Occasionally these "food based" products will be labeled "organic". This simply means that the alfalfa or soy the USP vitamins and minerals are mixed with were grown organically.
Today there are also several liquid forms of "vitamins" and "minerals". Once again, this is an attempt to increase the absorption of the USP chemical vitamins and minerals.
When you take "pharmaceutical grade" or "USP" vitamins and minerals you’re just pumping man-made chemicals and ground up mineral salts into your body.
The Difference
There is a world of difference between Foodform® Vitamin C and ascorbic acid!
In contrast, Foodform® Vitamin C contains no ascorbic acid and the body knows how to absorb and use it.
In a human study performed at the University of Scranton which compared the absorption of vitamin C into the red blood cells, Foodform® Vitamin C was 1.74 times more absorbed than USP vitamin C (ascorbic acid).*
Another human study was conducted at the New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry comparing equal amounts of Foodform® vitamin C and ascorbic acid. At two hours, the relative increase of vitamin C in the blood was five times greater for Foodform® Vitamin C than for the ascorbic acid, and eighteen times greater at twelve hours than ascorbic acid.*
In fact, three Foodform® Vitamin C tablets contain almost as much vitamin C as a half-gallon of fresh squeezed orange juice!
The problem for people who would like to supplement their vitamin C using orange juice is that orange juice contains more sugar than Coca-Cola!
Your body was designed to get its nutrition from the green plant. Whether you eat the plant directly or eat the animal that eats the plant, the starting point is always the green plant.
Plant roots grow down into the soil and rocks, pulling up materials that we can't use. Through the normal life process, plants convert these inorganic minerals in the soil or ocean into organic minerals that we can use.
The difference is simple - the iron in a nail is inorganic, the iron in a raspberry is organic.
The problem with today's food supply is that farmland soil is depleted of minerals and much of the food we eat is highly processed. The more you heat and process food, the more enzymes, vitamins and minerals are lost.
Thus, it's virtually impossible to get all the nutrition you need from today's food supply. It is very clear that we need to take nutritional supplements in today's modern world.
Vitamin supplements, even the so-called "natural" ones contain isolated chemical USP vitamins and minerals. They are produced synthetically in chemical plants in ways that keep them stable, and the minerals come from mining companies.
Your body does not recognize isolated USP vitamins and minerals, because they are not like the nutrients in food. It is well documented that the absorption and utilization rate (bio-availability) of isolated vitamins and minerals is extremely poor.
Nutrients found in food are in a form that is recognized by the body, and the body uses them for nourishment. These complex nutrients are part of a matrix which contains proteins, carbohydrates, lipids (fats), bioflavonoids and other food factors.
How Foodform® Nutrients Are Made
Foodform® Vitamins and Minerals are produced by proprietary processes.
Foodform® Vitamins are produced by taking USP vitamins in liquid form and then weaving them together on a molecular level with the appropriate protein components.
Then they are integrated into a vegetable, fruit or yeast concentrate that has a natural relationship with that vitamin. For example: Foodform® B Vitamins are in yeast concentrate, Foodform® Vitamin C is in citrus concentrate, Foodform® Vitamin A is in carrot concentrate, etc.
Understanding the Foodform® Delivery System
Another vital aspect of Foodform® technology is the way our nutrients are transported into and within the body. The Nobel Prize for Medicine in 1999 was awarded to a scientist for proving that there is a systematic process the body uses to transport nutrients directly to the cells. This same transport system is used within Foodform® products.
Isolated USP vitamins and minerals may be partially absorbed, but when they enter the blood stream there is no mechanism to guide their delivery.
The body does not recognize them as food. So, they float around and are either deposited in the wrong places, which can cause serious problems, or they are flushed out of the body through the urine.
Foodform® nutrients, on the other hand, are guided by the proteins contained within the food matrix itself, to the cells that need the nutrients.
Each Foodform® Vitamin C tablet is 300 mg of fully usable vitamin C.
